Who you are contracting with

BonjourBase is provided by C.S. VENTURE LAB, SASU (société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle), 4 Rue du Pensionnat Notre-Dame de France, 43000 Le Puy-en-Velay, France, SIREN 130 812 811 ("we"). By creating an account or continuing to use BonjourBase you agree to these terms. You must be at least 16 years old.

The service

BonjourBase helps people move to and live in France: country-specific guides, a deadline tracker, a cost-of-living calculator, French lessons, a community forum, a directory of businesses and the Ask BonjourBase assistant. Most features are free. BonjourBase Plus adds paid features such as unlimited assistant questions, the letter explainer, email reminders, the dossier builder, B1 and exam practice, unlimited comparisons and household mode.

We work to keep the service available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Information only, not legal advice

Guides, timelines, assistant answers and letter summaries are general information based on public sources. They are not legal advice. Rules change and individual cases differ: always check the official source (service-public.fr, your prefecture, ANEF, ANTS, CAF, CPAM, impots.gouv.fr) or a qualified professional before acting. AI-generated content can be wrong and you are responsible for how you use it.

BonjourBase Plus subscription

  • Plus is sold monthly or yearly at the prices shown on the Plus page at the time of purchase. Prices include VAT.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, including Plus and featured listings. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to payment, billing, tax and refunds.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
  • How to cancel: open your account page and choose "Manage subscription", or use the link in your Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.

14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. To withdraw, request a refund through Paddle (paddle.net) or email privacy@bonjourbase.eu.

Plus gives immediate access to digital content and services. At checkout you are asked to agree to the following: "I request immediate access to BonjourBase Plus and acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the digital content has been fully supplied. For the service part, I will pay for the period used if I withdraw." If you withdraw within 14 days, you are refunded minus any amount for the service already provided, where the law allows. Beyond this, refunds follow Paddle's refund policy.

Community rules

When you post topics, replies, reviews or listings, you agree to these rules:

  • Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate speech or personal attacks.
  • Share experience, not legal advice. Point people to official sources.
  • No spam, advertising or self-promotion outside the business directory.
  • Protect privacy: never post anyone's documents, addresses or contact details.
  • No false or misleading information about visas, benefits or businesses.
  • Report anything that breaks these rules. Moderators can hide posts and ban accounts.

You keep ownership of what you post and give us a licence to host and display it to provide the service. Anyone can report content. We may hide or remove content and suspend or ban accounts for breaches of these terms, fraud, security risk or non-payment.

Acceptable use

Do not use BonjourBase unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe others' rights, to scrape the service, to probe or interfere with its security, or to resell it. The BonjourBase name, software and content remain our property.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on general information. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time; see how to delete your account.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute arises, contact us first at privacy@bonjourbase.eu. Consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge and keep the right to bring a claim before the courts of their place of residence; otherwise the courts of Le Puy-en-Velay have jurisdiction.
